I have known Amy and her family for nearly 4 years. I met her by sending her a young thoroughbred horse to school and sell for me as I had health problems at the time. She did a fantastic job with him and he was sold to a good young rider. I am very impressed by the way Amy handles and schools her horses, they are all happy and go very sweetly for her as she has endless patience. Not being able to ride much myself anymore I bought a half share with Amy in a young showjumper. She has broken and brought him on slowly and carefully and will be jumping foxhunters this Summer as a 6 yr old after competing in novice, discovery and newcomers last year.Even though I live in hampshire and can't get up to the yard every week I always look forward to going and am made very welcome and love to watch her schooling, jumping and teaching. I go to as many shows as possible with her and have absolutely no regrets in having a horse ridden and looked after by Amy and her team.

I came to Egerton in summer of 2014 with my Dutch Warmblood Benno, whom I’d bought as a dressage prospect. I had owned him for a few years but often struggled with his quirks and sensitive nature. Benno immediately settled in to Egerton’s calm and unruffled routine. Amy and her friendly, professional team have taken great care to help me manage his particular needs to keep him content and healthy. With a tailored programme of regular schooling and lessons Amy has mentored my bringing Benno back into work. In a surprisingly short time she has turned a difficult, nappy and anxious horse into a happy, fit and confident individual who is keen to please and starting to really enjoy his work. Thank you all at Egerton Sport Horses!

I spent two months at Egerton Sport horses. It's a great riding facility where the people care a lot about the horses. The yard and equipment are neat and tidy. I did all kind of yard duties and worked with a really friendly team. Sometimes it was hard work but I learned a lot. I improved my riding skills riding different horses. It was a great experience which made me more confident and I could improve my english language. I would recommend going there to gain experiences.

I have known Amy and her family for over 10 years and over that time have had several horses on livery with Amy. Amy has always offered a calm and consistent approach to her training, with a good eye for bringing out the potential in horses - whatever their age. The high degree of professionalism and attention to detail on the yards Amy has run over the years has been a pleasure to be a part of and very reassuring as an owner to know you can trust someone to take care of your horse as if it were their own. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amy either as a trainer or a rider, or her team of staff, for producing, developing and nurturing talent - be it in the horses or in their riders.

I have been training with Amy for over 4 years now. Her understanding of how horses work both when training and when riding is outstanding particularly with young horses. She promotes a correct way of training without shortcuts to bring out the best performance in all riders and horses. Her training i firm but always fair while encourging me to be the best that I can be. She is always there to offer advice and goes above and beyond to be of help wherever she can. I put all my trust in her judgement to spot talent in young horses which is why I will always ask her opinion when buying a new horse because of which I have ended up with a horse of a lifetime. She gives invaluable support in all aspects of training my horse, not just on the day of the lesson. Her attention to detail in both horse and rider, and talent as a trainer is second to none and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to succeed.

Imogen Todd, pupil of Amy's,

My work experience at Egerton was very interesting. The first weeks were difficult for me because I didn't really speak English, I didn't know people and couldn't speak with them, and didn't understand what to do in the job, but after, I started to know what to do, my english was a little bit better, meet people etc. I've spent some good times on the yard with the staff, the owners and my housemate in the cottage. My experience helped me to improve my English and my riding, I have discovered a new culture, met lovely people in a really nice friendly village. If I had to start again, I will do it the same

I have kept my horses with Amy Andrews for over 4 years. I moved there because I was looking for a professional yet friendly run yard and haven't been disappointed with the service or care once. Each horse is truly treated as individual, nothing is ever too much. Amy has an ability to get the best out of horses whether riding or from the ground and has done an absolute fantastic job breaking in my youngster. I wouldn't trust anyone else!

Amy was recommended to me when I was looking for someone to hlp ith my showjumping and flatwork on my two homebred horses. She has great empathy with the horses and is very encouraging of both myself and the horses, in lessons and of our competing. I find she is extremely ood at explaining the what, why and how and aims for perfection, which really encourages you to raise your standards as a rider. When Amy says something you and the horse has done is good it gives you a warm glow because you know she means it! I would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking to improve their riding and ther horse.

As a 22 year-old student of agricultural science I spent 4 weeks of work experience at the Egerton House Farm in my summer holidays in 2011. I came there from Germany to improve my English language skills as well as my horse riding ability.
During my stay I helped with all general yard duties like turning in and out horses, mucking out, grooming etc. I got to ride lots of different types of horses. From youngsters to more experienced horses - hacking and schooling as well as jumping. I good schooling lessons with Amy but was also allowed to work the horses on my own. Apart from that I went to several shows around the country with her for grooming. Show jumping and dressage shows as well as one day events where I had to groom and tack up the horses for the event.
Even though my work experience at Egerton Sport Horses was only for a month I got integrated in the team real quick. Everyone was friendly and always willing to explain things when I got language problems.
All in all I can say that I had a great time at the Egerton House Farm, learnt a lot about horses, daily care and riding and also improved my English language skills.

Britta knaup, German work experience student 2011

I have only been a livery at Amy's yard for a short period of time. Prior to this my riding and horses performance had plateaued, but since having Amy's support and lessons mine and my horses confidence has grown and my riding style has changed for the better. The combination of better riding and growing confidence has had a positive impact on our performance.
Amy has the ability and patience to bring out the best in horse and rider. Her lessons are always well planned and thought out with the aim of achieving specific goals.
Amy is an excellent role model and inspires me to achieve my full potential. She has been really supportive going the extra mile, by taking me to competitions to give me the best opportunities to achieve maximum performance.
She is firm but fair, very knowledge and dedicated and with her help I'm enjoying my riding and looking forward to my future.
